Sonia Alcántara is an associate with the Labour Law area. She is an expert in labour law and social security law, matters in which she advises a major portfolio of domestic and foreign companies. She also has in-depth knowledge and experience in immigration law and occupational health and safety, as well as in company law.
Her counseling comprises preventive and corrective advice on labour and human resources matters, as well as answering queries relating the legal, administrative, and procedural implications steaming from the latter, which include inspection procedures with the Labour Authority.
Sonia specialises in the design of recruitment, remuneration, compensation, benefits and termination policies and actively advises on their implementation.
In addition, on the corporate side she has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, negotiation of international company acquisitions, corporate due diligence and all planning and management of corporate reorganisations.
In occupational health and safety, Sonia has participated in putting into effect the Occupational Health and Safety Management System in a wide range of companies.
