Jorge Otero is an associate in the Dispute Resolution area of Osterling Abogados. He specialises in Civil Procedure Law, Constitutional Law and Administrative Law. He also has significant experience in family and inheritance law.
His professional practice includes advising and defending national and foreign clients in civil and commercial litigation, contentious administrative proceedings and constitutional actions before the various courts and the Constitutional Court.
In the area of family law, he advises individuals on the resolution of all types of disputes arising from marital and family relationships. In inheritance matters, Jorge masters all regulatory aspects of the applicable law and represents clients in notarial, judicial or negotiation proceedings aimed at safeguarding their rights.
He is a frequent contributor to the main Peruvian legal portals and co-author of the book “Diálogo entre Disciplinas por el Congreso Internacional de Derecho Civil”, published by the University of Lima.
Jorge is an adjunct lecturer in the subjects of Contract Law, Obligations and Seminar on Property Law and Real Guarantees, at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. He is also a regular speaker at conferences and seminars on subjects related to his specialities.
